  • Call for Nominations for ACCED-I LeadersThe time has come for us to solicit nominations to fill positions on the Board of Directors of the Association of Collegiate Conference and Events Directors-International and fill new Regional Director-Elect openings as a result of the “Advancing ACCED-I” initiative passed by the current Board of Directors at the October 18-19, 2014 Board Meeting.  There are two (2) Board of Directors positions that will become vacant in 2015. The positions are for a three-year term from March 2015 – March 2018. There are five (5) Regional Director-Elect positions that will become vacant in 2015. The positions are for a three-year term from March 2015 – March 2018. 
  • Membership AnnouncementOn October 18 and 19, the ACCED-I Board of Directors met for their bi-annual meeting for strategic and visionary planning. Throughout the two day meeting, many important topics were discussed regarding budget, membership, and education. Additionally, on October 19th, the ACCED-I Board of Directors voted to move forward with the first phase of the “ADVANCING ACCED-I” initiative and begin the process to realign the current regional structure from 11 regions to the proposed 5. more

Your database of potential clients serves as the lifeline for sustaining and growing your business. One way to build a database of potential clients is to use local.yahoo.com. Here you can select a location and what you are looking for and garner results that you can add to the database. Here's an example: I selected "Meeting Planners" as what I was searching for. I entered Pittsburgh PA as the city I wanted to search and the results yielded 247 planners that I can then add to my database! Do this for your city, your state or provincial capital and any other target geo markets.

  • Reconstruction of the ACCED-I eLibrary Underway!ACCED-I is renovating the eLibrary and needs your help! With a click of your mouse, you can send ACCED-I the materials we need to build. In the coming weeks, we will be asking for specific documents to help renovate the eLibrary. However, If you have other documents you would like to contribute, send them anytime to Lori@acced-i.org. For each donation, you will be entered into a monthly drawing for a $50 Amazon gift card!
  • Member Get a MemberStarting 2/10/14 through 8/31/2014, all members in good standing who refer a member will be entered into a drawing for one 35th Annual Conference Registration. Inclusion in the drawing requires that the joining member name the member who referred them on their membership application, and that the referring member is an ACCED-I member in good standing. Drawing will be held on Monday September 8th.
  • Are You Taking Full Advantage of Your Institutional Membership?Don't forget that an institutional membership in ACCED-I allows for 4 representatives and 1 student to be on the roster. Additional reps can be added for an additional fee.
