Tailgate and Channels allow customers to track, target and facilitate real-time student engagement with events
Tailgate gives students the ability to browse, RSVP, “Check-In” and review nearby events, while administrators can monitor the app's built-in social media integration and metrics reporting. Staff will be able to send push notifications to attendees during an event and students will be able to "heart" an event, allowing administrators to tie real-time engagement with ongoing happenings.
Channels allows universities to create individual landing pages for organizations within their school's overarching Localist calendar. For example, students searching for Greek Life events on campus will now visit their school's home calendar or the Greek Life channel. Administrators can assign permissions to individuals who are able to create and manage their own group pages, including personalizing how the page looks.
“Student engagement on campus is important in driving student satisfaction and success, and events are a great way for students to connect more with each other and with their campuses,” said Myke Nahorniak, co-founder and CEO of Localist. “We are committed to providing administrators with the tools needed to make their students feel connected to their schools. Both Tailgate and Channels help school leadership offer a more personalized experience for their groups, and allow them to gain better insights through their event marketing efforts.”
Localist will report real-time event data for Tailgate and Channels through Localist Metrics – a feature that provides customers with event insights that they can use to measure and fine-tune their future events.
In addition, Localist has launched plugins for WordPress and Drupal users that allow them to better integrate the Localist calendar within their existing content management system. “With over half of our partner universities using WordPress and Drupal to manage their websites, it only makes sense to make the transition to our software as seamless as possible for them,” Nahorniak added.
