Manager,
Schedules and Reservations (
Bachelor's
degree with a minimum of 2 years experience in staff supervision with particular
focus in office management required. Knowledge or experience with current
computing technologies and reservation systems. Previous experience in staff
training and development preferred.
Successful
candidate must possess excellent interpersonal; organizational; managerial; and
verbal and written communication skills. Must possess the ability to build
relationships with other university departments and divisions. A current notary
license or be willing to obtain notary license required.
Responsibilities:
-Directly
oversee OSR operations and supervise staff of 2 full-time employees and 1
part-time student employee.
-Recruit,
hire, and train OSR staff.
-Assist
in defining qualifications and performance expectations for OSR staff positions.
-Conduct
annual performance evaluations of OSR staff.
-Communicate
job behavioral expectations.
-Coordinate
facility usage for non-curricular activities for University community and off
campus organizations. This includes reservation and event planning for over 320
student organizations and entire campus community on an "as need"
basis.
-Maintain
calendar of events for majority of non-curricular activities.
-Implement
policies regarding use of University facilities by all groups.
-Coordinate
facility usage, including work order requests to Plant Operations, requests to
Plant Operations, requests for VUPD assistance, or room setup requests to
Building Directors.
-Maintain
up-to-date SOP manual for OSR.
-Develop
annual budgets.
-Closely
monitor expenditures for department budget.
-Conduct
monthly review of department budget Conduct monthly review of department pull
sheet reports.
-Manage
incidental, recurring and on-going projects.
-Participate
in periodic management meetings to keep management informed.
-Participate
in weekly Special Events Registration sessions.
-Actively
participate in Student Activities, Division of Student Life and Campus
committees.
