ACCED-I WEB CONFERENCES: A New Professional Development Opportunity Without Having to Leave Your Office or Dip Into Travel Funds
Only 25-30% of the entire ACCED-I membership are able to attend the Annual Conference. Our challenge – how to bring these excellent educational sessions to members who can’t attend. Thanks to the work of the Professional Development Committee and Diana Hakenholz, CMP, ACCED-I’s director of member services, ACCED-I will bring three of the highest rated special interest sessions from the 2007 Annual Conference right to your office. Web conference and presenter’s willingness to share their knowledge and expertise allow ACCED-I the opportunity to bring educational sessions to your office at a very reasonable cost. And, you don’t have to use precious travel funds to attend. Gloria Chu, Simon Fraser University, will kick off this series of web conferences on September 11th, with her presentation, Anniversary Celebration Events. This web conference will showcase how the university celebrated its 40th Anniversary. Next in the series, Mickey Webb, University of Maryland, College Park, will present, Using the High-Tech Spyglass, on November 13th. Mickey’s web conference will take a look at the front-end and back-end technology solutions you can use to both gather and disseminate information you and your clients need. |
Tim Copeland, SunGard Higher Education (formerly with the Georgia Institute of Technology), will wrap up the inaugural web conference series on January 15th with his presentation, Best Practices in Online Marketing. Tim’s web conference will outline best practices in online marketing to acquire new business while retaining current clients. Registration is very affordable at $49.95/session for members and $69.95 for nonmembers. Nonmembers at member institutions can take advantage of the member fee. ACCED-I is also offering a discount if you register for all three web conferences at $119.95 for members; $179.95 for nonmembers. Registration is available online or by fax.
