The registration fee includes dinner on Thursday night. The River Barge dinner was too expensive, however with the help of Ann Knoebel we will be having dinner at Boudros then take a River Barge ride before or after dinner. Greetings to all,
Save the date for our fall meeting, November 19 - 20, 2009 at Trinity University in San Antonio, TX. I am currently working with Ann Knoebel and Bruce Bravo to put together a fantastic program you won’t want to miss. Sessions will be held on the campus of Trinity University.
The plan is to start the sessions on Thursday, November 19 around 1:00 pm, have dinner as a group that evening, and continue with the sessions on Friday, Nov. 20 wrapping up around lunch time.
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Doubletree Airport, 37 NE Loop 410 (at McCullough), San Antonio, TX. Their phone number is 1-210-224-7155. Please reference Trinity University conference services to get the room rate of $89. The Double Tree provides free transportation from the airport to the hotel.
The registration fee will be $75 for members and $90 for non-members. We are also planning on a River Barge Dinner for Thursday, Nov. 19 which is not included in the registration fee.

News from Charlotte McConnell, Concordia University Texas
Concordia University Texas celebrated the first anniversary of our move from an 82 year-old campus to new facilities in Northwest Austin. On July 21 we celebrated with a special worship service and cook out. We had the pleasure of having the National Guitar Workshop on Concordia’s campus this summer. The workshop brought to campus Jimmy Vaughn who provided a concert one evening. Our president, Dr. Tom Cedel, enjoyed the evening as well as many other faculty, staff, and community members. We also had the pleasure of having Elton John’s guitarist teach a three-hour seminar one afternoon. The class was held right down the hall from my office so I heard some wonderful guitar music all afternoon!
