Fall Meeting

Region 5 held their fall meeting last November at Ripon College in Ripon, WI.  We were very excited to have half of our regional members participate in the meeting.

The theme of the meeting was "These Times are a Changin’”.  Our guest speaker, Carlo Cuesta talked about how our next generation of clients are changing the way we market and promote our colleges/universities.

We also had various round tables and presentations on marketing in a down economy and how to stimulate our Association by encouraging the new generation of college graduates to be a part of our profession.  Our region even had registration scholarships set-up for current Region 5 college students to attend the conference.  The staff at Ripon College was fantastic and we could have not asked for better hospitality from our host!

It was a great time to share and get caught up with our Region 5 colleagues.  We elected a new director-elect—Ruthi Duval from University of Wisonsin-Madison and made a schedule of meetings for the next three years.  We look forward to our next regional meetings to be held at the College of Saint Benedict in 2010, University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 2011 and Winona State University in 2012.

We missed those who weren't able to attend, but hope to see some of you in Louisville this coming March for ACCED-I Annual Conference.

For those who could attend--here are some snapshots of the fun we had!

The University of Minnesota-Twin Cities will be welcoming the band U2 to the new TCF Bank Stadium June 27, 2010.  It was noted U2 was very interested in playing in TCF Bank Stadium because of the LEED Certification it received as a stadium and their commitment to the environment.
