2010 Fall Summit

Thank you to everyone who responded to the survey regarding the Fall Summit.  The votes are in and the majority of you chose a Thursday/Friday in November as the best time for you to attend the Fall Summit.  Also TCU received the most votes as far as location.

So please, mark your calendars for Thursday/Friday, November 18 & 19, 2010 for the Fall Summit.  We will start at noon on Thursday and end with lunch on Friday to allow ample travel time to and from the summit. 

Thank you to Flo Hill and Kristin Kirkpatrick for graciously agreeing to host us again.  More information will follow as soon.  If you have any suggestions for sessions at the Fall Summit, please let me know so we can get try to get it on the agenda.

Regional News

Region 7’s big news is that we’ve elected our next director-elect, Tammi Clanton-Elmore from Schreiner University, Kerrville, Texas.  Tammi is an asserted choice for our region.  We have watched her grow in a leadership role, attending every regional meeting and every Annual Conference since she joined ACCED-I in 2005.  We welcome Tammi enthusiastically and I am certain she will be an asset to our organization, both regionally and internationally.

Greetings to all,

Here is the information for the regional conference that will be held at Trinity University on November 19 & 20, 2009 in San Antonio, TX. 

The registration fee includes dinner on Thursday night.  The River Barge dinner was to expensive however with the help of Ann Knoebel we will be having dinner at Boudros then take a River Barge ride before or after dinner.  The River Barge can be taken right outside the patio of Boudros. A block of rooms has been reserved at the Double Tree Hotel San Antonio Airport, 37 NE Loop 410 (at McCullough), San Antonio, Texas, USA, 78216.  Their phone number is 1-210-366-2424.  Please reference ACCED I Region 7 Conference to get the room rate of $89.00.  The Double Tree provides free transportation from the airport to the hotel.  Click here for hotel information.
