Grand Valley State Universities (GVSU) Erik Dane and David VanderSloot passed their CMP exams.  All GVSU event planners are now certified.  Next step is the CCEP.
In addition, Grand Valley State University received the One-Stop Shop Certification.

Congratulations to Heather Roden of Hope College and Lisa Salazar, CCEP of Lewis University who were recently elected to the ACCED-I Board of Directors.

Region 8 is starting to solicit volunteers to help at the Annual Conference in Louisville.  Further details will be coming but if you would like to let us know you are willing to help we have started a list.  Please send your name, email, and phone number to winowiec@gvsu.edu.

Fall Regional Meeting

ACCED-I Report

Grand Valley State University will welcome region 8 to Grand Rapids, Michigan on October 21-23, 2009. We have partnered with the Days Hotel for over- night accommodations at a rate of $85.00 per night. You may make room reservations by calling 616-235-7611 and be sure to mention ACCED-I. The hotel is conveniently located across the street from our campus.

Our agenda is full of motivating and energizing topics and ideas that clearly articulate why College and University Campuses are The Educated Choice. If you are interested in doing a presentation please do not hesitate and let me know.

I have added an Act of Caring to our event. I have chosen a local charity called “Kid’s Food Basket”. The mission is to ensure that children in our community don’t go to bed hungry. I will send more information soon however in the mean time please visit the web site at www.kidsfoodbasket.org
