The Association of Collegiate Conference and Events Directors-International (ACCED-I) has created this privacy policy in order to demonstrate our commitment to customer privacy. Information Collection and Usage

ACCED-I requires professionals who request information, and subsequently register to use our products and services to provide contact information such as their name, institution/company name, address, phone number and email address. ACCED-I typically asks for additional information when a member or visitor requests information about our products and services. ACCED-I uses the collected information to set up accounts for members and their respective institutions/companies. We may also use the information to contact members to further discuss their interest in ACCED-I, our products and services and to send information on ACCED-I, our partners, and notices of promotions and upcoming events, if the member or visitor has so opted to receive these communications. ACCED-I members will automatically be subscribed to our email newsletters as part of the set up process. All customers have the opportunity to choose to opt-out from receiving our newsletters. Member information will not be shared or distributed.

Except as explicitly stated at the time ACCED-I requests information, we do not disclose to any third party the information provided. All financial and billing information we collect is used solely to invoice our customers for their usage of ACCED-I products and services. This billing information is not used by ACCED-I for marketing and/or promotional purposes.

ACCED-I Electronic Marketing Policy for Annual Conference and Expo Attendees

One of the key business advantages we are able to offer to our corporate exhibitors and sponsors is the ability to reach a very targeted and engaged audience.  The significant value of this business advantage is reflected in the cost of being an exhibitor and/or sponsor at the ACCED-I Annual Conference and Expo.  As marketing methods have changed dramatically in the past few years, we have also had to adjust the way we allow our corporate conference partners to market their goods and services to attendees.

For Annual Conference and Expo purposes only, we do allow our qualifying exhibitors and sponsors to send e-marketing pieces directly to attendee email addresses.  In order to qualify to receive Annual Conference and Expo attendee email addresses from ACCED-I, corporate exhibitors and sponsors must submit an e-marketing piece for approval, and that e-marketing piece must include the ability to allow any recipient ‘opt out’ of any and all future e-marketing pieces from that particular company.  The qualifier is stated as follows :  If you utilize an email marketing service (e.g. iContact, Constant Contact, Boomerang, Vertical Response) that offers ‘opt out’ or unsubscribe capabilities to all recipients, or have an in-house email marketing system that offers ‘opt out’ or unsubscribe capabilities to all recipients, you are eligible to receive a list of all Annual Conference and Expo registrant email aliases .

It is our goal to ensure that you are not inundated by email that you do not wish to receive.  If, for any reason, you feel our policy has been violated, please contact us directly and we will follow up with the appropriate people.  If you have questions, please contact Monica Schultz at (970)449-4960, or monica@acced-i.org.
