Are you interested in hosting a regional event? Following is information and the steps to take:

 

Things to consider when planning a regional event:

Location

  • Your campus
  • Another members campus
  • Local food and beverage establishment
  • Phone line

Length of time

  • Any length that works best for your event, location, and attendees

Charging vs not charging

  • Does it cost to rent the location?
  • Are there food and beverage costs?
  • Are you trying to raise regional funds?

Registration

  • Simple RSVP via email
  • Event registration system on your campus
  • ACCED-I –  3% credit card fee and $75 set-up fee

 

Steps to complete when hosting a regional event:

 

  1. Contact one of your Regional Leaders
    • Let them know you would like to host an event and what format you have chosen
    • They will help you through the process
  2. Complete the Regional Pre-Event Form
    • Form is located on the ACCED-I website
    • Must be submitted at least 4 weeks prior to the event
    • Include as many details as possible about the event and an image
    • Please no advertising until form is turned in
  3. Utilize the Regional Event Checklist to help plan the event
    • Simple but helpful resource
  4. Advertise the event to people in your circle
    • Drive attendance by personally reaching out to the schools in your area
    • ACCED-I HQ will send out two email blasts to the region about your event and include it in Connect – all mass email communications need to go through HQ
    • Social Media/Regional Calendar Committee will help promote
  5. Host a successful event
    • Take pictures
    • Talk to nonmembers about the benefits of joining ACCED-I
    • Have fun!
  6. Fill out the Post-Event Form
    • Short recap
    • Agenda
    • Attendee list
