After acceptance, complete the certification requirements within 3 years (details in the Certification Workbook).
Program Fee
The non-refundable application fee required to enroll in the Collegiate Conference and Events Professional program is $400.00 (U.S. funds) and includes electronic workbook with complete instructions, evaluation and administrative costs and plaque recognizing successful completion of the program.
After acceptance, complete the certification requirements within 3 years (details in the Certification Workbook).
- Educational Hours: Participate in at least 12 educational hours benefiting collegiate conference and/or events professionals. This can include attending conference sessions, reading books, or participating in computer-based training.
- Professional Endeavors: Complete any two of the following:
- Publish an educational article in Connect (ACCED-I newsletter).
- Submit and present a session proposal at an ACCED-I event.
- Complete the ACCED-I benchmarking survey and submit a summary.
- Publish an article in a professional journal.
- Participate in a CAS Self-Assessment of a Conference and Event Program (CEP).
- Volunteer Service: Serve at least 15 hours as a volunteer at an ACCED-I annual or regional meeting, or in another capacity for the Association, and submit a written summary.
- Certification Workbook: Complete and submit the Certification Workbook, with answers aligned to the Conference and Event Programs CAS Standards.
