Lessons Learned and Planning for the Future - Navigating Unplanned Campus Closures
Hosts: Kindra Kautz, Associate Director of Conference and Event Services and
Jenna Hennessy, Associate Director of Student Center & Event Operations
Join us in discussing how we navigate through unplanned campus closures. We are facing new and unique challenges in California relating to wildfires, air quality closures, PG&E’s Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) and more. You will be hearing from the perspective of Kindra Kautz who oversees the sales and event scheduling office and Jenna Hennessy who oversees the Student Center event operations and the summer conference housing operation. Jenna and Kindra also have a roll in Sonoma State's Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in Care and Shelter and Resources Management. We will share steps that we are taking to plan for future closures and we open it up to the group so you can share your experiences, challenges and best practices. We have set aside time for additional roundtable topics. Please let us know what you are interested in discussing. The day will end with a tour of the beautiful Green Music Center and a wine and cheese reception in Prelude.
