As social events go, weddings reign supreme. It is estimated that in 2019 there were 2,126,126 weddings in the United States. COVID has taught us a lot of things, but one thing is for sure; love is in the air, and there will be more weddings in 2021, especially due to postponements and rescheduled nuptials. That is not speculation; it is a trend currently seen by Unique Venues. While the timeline for corporations and associations to resume their conference and event travel is still up in the air, special life events and celebrations are resuming at a good pace. Since mid-Summer, more and more wedding ceremony and reception leads have been distributed to our clients with some couples looking for venues into early 2021.

Even before COVID, couples looking to wed have been shaking things up and balancing tradition with their own uniqueness and character. Most obviously, the venue chosen to host their special day is an extension of the couple’s style and personality. Searching for and selecting a venue is not just the most expensive part of the planning process: it is also one of the first things a couple chooses to search for and book post- (and event sometimes pre-) engagement.

2021 presents an incredible opportunity to not only build upon lost business but to also give these couples a stress-free and reinvigoratingly fun planning process. Join Unique Venues as we continue to prepare you for the rebound and share tips for booking wedding business in the new year.

Attendees will:
o Be able to anticipate the needs and challenges of couples presented by COVID-19.
o Be able to recognize trends and proactively plan to mitigate associated risks and challenges of planning and hosting weddings.
o Be able to identify opportunities that give their venue a competitive advantage for hosting weddings in late-2020 and into 2021.
