Steps to Host a Regional Event
- Reach Out to Your Regional Leader
- Let them know you want to host an event and share your chosen format.
- They'll guide you through the process.
- Check for Scheduling Conflicts
- Confirm with Amie Garrett Grayson, Director of Membership, to ensure there are no overlaps with ACCED-I scheduled events.*
- Complete the Regional Pre-Event Form
- Submit the form at least 6 weeks before the event (3 weeks for virtual events).
- Include as many details as possible, along with an event image.
- Hold off on advertising until you receive approval from Amie Garrett Grayson.
- Use the Regional Event Checklist
- This simple yet helpful resource will assist you in planning the event.
- Promote Your Event
- Spread the word to people in your network.
- Personally reach out to local schools to boost attendance.
- ACCED-I HQ will send one email blast to the region and include your event in Connect. All mass email communications need to go through HQ.
- Host an Amazing Event
- Capture the moments with photos.
- Talk to nonmembers about the benefits of joining ACCED-I.
- Most importantly, have fun!
- Complete the Post-Event Form
- Provide a short recap, agenda, and attendee list
