Steps to Host a Regional Event
1. Reach Out to Your Regional Leader
- Let them know you want to host an event and share your chosen format.
- They'll guide you through the process.
- Confirm with Amie Garrett Grayson, Director of Membership, to ensure there are no overlaps with ACCED-I scheduled events.*
- Submit the form at least 6 weeks before the event (3 weeks for virtual events).
- Include as many details as possible, along with an event image if applicable.
- Hold off on advertising until you receive approval from Amie Garrett Grayson.
- This simple yet helpful resource will assist you in planning the event.
- Spread the word to people in your network and region.
- Personally reach out to local schools to boost attendance for in-person events.
- ACCED-I HQ will send one email blast to the region and include your event in Connect. All mass email communications need to go through HQ.
- Capture the moments with photos.
- Include the benefits of ACCED-I membership for nonmembers attendees.
- Most importantly, have fun!
- Provide a short recap, agenda, and attendee list to share all the details.
*We aim to avoid scheduling conflicts with ACCED-I events, so some regional programming dates may need to be adjusted.
