The keynote address What Can Go Wrong?  Risk in Successful Conferences and Events Planning presented by: Sam Florio, Director, Risk Management and Compliance, Santa Clara University will help you understand and identify risk in conferences and events.

Conference and event planners are key to the life of the college or university.  Great experiences add much to the connection to the institution of faculty, students, staff and the broader community.  However, adverse circumstances can cloud the experience for participants and damage the institution.  This session will discuss the role of risk management in conference and event planning and its part in the overall institutional goals for conducting its activities at an acceptable level of risk.
