One of the most important business strategies a student can do is networking. Being able to take the time to meet people they have a similar career interest in and talking with them. On the contrary, one of the most intimidating things to do as a student is network. ACCED-I works on creating an engaging atmosphere that fosters networking and professional development through events. Annual conferences can be cost prohibitive to students if they do not have the opportunity to have an organization pay for it with registration, travel, and lodging. With regional events and Drive-Ins you get all the benefits of networking and professional development at a more cost-effective price point. We highly recommend that students capitalize on the opportunity to attend Drive-Ins whether in their city, or a neighboring one, and step outside of their comfort zone. Networking is the most rewarding business skill a student can develop as they can have their questions answered about the business, make connections at their dream institution, or even realize that certain paths may not be what they envisioned. Our goal as professionals in ACCED-I is to provide as much knowledge to others as we can to help each other grow, and have fun doing so. Regional events and Drive-Ins provide the setting just to do so.
