Preparing for the year-end holidays is a favorite time of year for many people – me included! It can be such a happy busy time.
Here at ACCED-I HQ we are very busy as well. Just a few things that are happening:
The Industry Benchmarking Survey – this year, we’ve had great participation in our industry benchmarking survey! Thanks to all who have shared data with us, the reports will be out in early 2020 for review. We hope that you have found the new format to be an easier and more efficient way to participate and welcome your feedback for the next survey.
The Salary Survey – in early December it will be time to participate in the Annual Salary Survey again. This remains one of our most popular member benefits and we rely on your continued participation to keep the information relevant and timely. Keep an eye out for the launch notification in the coming weeks.
Leadership Elections – next week we will be sending out the ballot for the 2020 ACCED-I leadership. As always, we have an excellent slate of candidates running for the Board of Directors and Regional Director-Elects. The election will close on December 10 and I hope that you will all take some time to review the candidate statements and nominations as you make your selections for future Association leadership.
Educational Forums – There are still two Educational Forums left to register for: Staff Development at American University December 12-13, and Emergency Management at University of Utah January 23-24. Don’t miss out on a spot at one of these two focused professional development opportunities!
Hospitality Committee – Ready to start planning events for the 2020 Annual Conference in Providence, Rhode Island? Volunteers are needed! If you are interested, please contact Diana Hakenholz (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Annual Conference Registration – SPEAKING of the Annual Conference, registration will be open in the next few weeks. The 2020 ACCED-I Annual Conference will be the 40th for our Association and we are looking forward to celebrating with all of you – not only in Providence, but throughout the year as well!
With so much coming up, it’s hard not to be excited for what lies ahead. I hope you all have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving!
With best regards,
Karen L. Nedbal is Executive Director of ACCED-I. She can be reached at email@example.com or (970) 449-4960.
