Executive Director's Message

We are here for you!  You hear this phrase a lot lately – from stores, banks, car manufacturers. And while it’s heartening to see displays of loyalty and support coming from every corner in these very stressful times, it’s important to focus on the messaging and resources that can really help you get by.  Being able to reach out and share information, share resources, commiserate, and provide feedback is especially comforting.  That’s where we – ACCED-I – really IS here for you.

I’ve been so pleased to see the outpouring of concern, the sharing of experience and resources, and the camaraderie shown between members on calls and through the Communities of Practice.  We are such a strong community – in good and difficult times – and I hope that now, more than ever, we realize the value of the Association. The staff and Board are committed to continuing to add value to your membership, but we can’t do it alone. If you think of a new topic for the Zoom Conference Calls or would like to revisit a previous topic, let us know. If you have an idea for a new format of communication and information sharing, let us know. Have an idea for professional development? We’d love to hear it.

We ARE here for you. Let us know what you need so that we can continue our community and strengthen our Association.

With best regards,

Karen L. Nedbal is Executive Director of ACCED-I. She can be reached at or (970) 449-4960.

Hello Karen and Happy Friday! Like many Universities, and here at Ohio State University, we are making plans to reopen our facilities post Covid-19. As a member, I was hoping you could share some other strategic plans and documents with me about ACCED-i steps or other college and universities plans to consider to reopen. Do you have any documents that you can share with me? Thank you and stay well. I look foward to events, conferences and a smooth road to recovery again. Karen Narwicz
