This student spotlight is on Jaime Mucci, student at Endicott College and Intern at Boston College.
My ACCED-I student membership has opened me to great resources for both employment and the e-library. The best advice that I ever got was that when we get to 90% at an event in order to be successful we have to go to 110% and beyond. My advice to any student would be to find an experience like the one that I had through Boston College because it had such a positive impact on my career and my life. Through my internship, I was able to meet some amazing people including Jim Mastin who was a mentor that I looked up to for guidance. One of the events that I was able to work on won the ACCED-I Outstanding Institutional Achievement Award the previous year (2017). It was really awesome to be able to get to work on that event the year after it won the award. I also really enjoyed working on the Hall of Fame event for Boston College Athletics. The thing that I loved most about my job was that every day was new and exciting. I was also able to come in contact with people from all walks of life. The only thing that I did not like about my job had nothing to do with the type of work that I was doing but rather was the commute that I had to make every morning. I look forward to using my ACCED-I student membership in the future for my full time job search and my career.
