Who Tells Your Story?

Don't throw away your shot to network with current and prospective Region 1 members as we tell our stories! Start with an engaging presenter-led workshop, followed by an afternoon of topics you decide! Wrap up the day with a short CU Denver Campus Tour ending at our Student Union Brewery.

*Parking in the downtown area ranges from $9.00 - $20.00 per vehicle for all day parking. A parking map and event location map will be provided upon registration.

10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - Tell Your Story

It is our stories that create the space for others to understand who we are.

In this session you will learn the art of great storytelling. We will work to build a story that you can tell passionately, authentically and consistently about your organization and yourself!

12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. – Lunch

Pay your own way and visit Larimer Square for a variety of options.

1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. – Roundtables 

Submit topic suggestions on your registration.

3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Optional Campus Tour, ending at historic Tivoli Brewery in our Student Union.

What's Happening Around the Region

Region 1 News

The University of Utah is expanding our Guest House Hotel. Thirty additional rooms with kitchenettes, a new 3000 sq ft ballroom, and a 3200 sq ft outdoor plaza. Plus we will be remodeling our lobby, enlarging our breakfast area!
CU Denver just did our dedication ceremony for our new wellness center yesterday!  All the deets are on our Facebook University of Colorado Denver.  It's our first named building on campus.
University of Colorado Denver will be hosting a Region 1 Drive-In on November 8, 2018 in Downtown Denver, CO. Mark your calendars and watch for information in early September!
New Leadership for Region 1
Heather Rappaport has resigned as Regional Director for Region 1. She has accepted a new position at UNLV outside of the conference and events industry. We appreciate all of Heather’s hard work and wish her the best of luck in her new position.
We are pleased to announce that Matt Jauregui, CCEP, has accepted the Regional Director position effective immediately. Matt is Associate Director, Conference & Event Services at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA. He served previously as a regional leader from 2014-2017.

Leo Young to Join Staff at California State University, Fullerton
Leo Young is leaving his role as Conference Coordinator for University Housing Services at San José State University. Starting July 30, 2018, Leo will begin working for Associated Student Inc. at California State University, Fullerton as the Conference and Meeting Services Manager. Leo is excited to be managing the University Conference Center in the Student Union. He will proudly continue representing Region 1 as Regional Director Elect in his new role.
