Action Teams help move the Association toward its goals. Each Action Team consists of an ACCED-I staff liaison, an appointed Chairperson and volunteer members. To participate in an Action Team please contact the Staff Liaison.

Charge

Promote professional achievement award opportunities and scholarships available through ACCED-I.

Tasks

  • Review award categories
  • Promote nominations from membership body
  • Review nominees and select recipients
  • Review scholarship applications and select recipients

Education Action Team

Charge

Develop diverse educational opportunities at the ACCED-I Annual Conference.

Tasks

  • Determine the educational content for the Annual Conference
  • Review session submissions from the Call for Programs for the Annual Conference
  • Liaison with presenters for needed clarification and presentation changes
  • Solicit additional presentations for needed topical areas
  • Provide counsel as needed for the content of the Educational Forums

CCEP Action Team*
* Members of this action team must hold the CCEP designation

Charge

Maintain and manage the Collegiate Conference & Events Professional (CCEP) designation.

Tasks

  • Promote CCEP program through social media, ACCED-I Connect and presentations at the Annual Conference
  • Manage relationship with the Council for the Advancement of Standards (CAS)
  • Update and revise the CCEP candidate workbook as necessary
  • Advise and manage CCEP mentors that are assigned candidates
  • Advise and manage CCEP graders for candidate workbooks
  • Develop and monitor requirements for recertification

Student Development Action Team

Charge

Work to recruit student members and provide benefits, programming, and content which is relevant to students.

Tasks

  • Recruit student members
  • Maintain up-to-date student records
  • Design membership benefits for students
  • Maintain student page on website in collaboration with ACCED-I Headquarters
  • Find relevant articles and information to share with student members
  • Seek new ways to engage with student members

Leadership Development Action Team

Charge

Promote personal and professional growth and ensure successful regional activities and membership development throughout the region.

Tasks

  • Manage the regional budget
  • Collaborate with ACCED-I Headquarters to publish information to Connect, regional websites, region newsletters and social media outlets
  • Promote membership to non-members
  • Encourage nominations for ACCED-I awards
  • Manage regional events with diverse educational opportunities
  • Encourage members to run for leadership positions
  • Promote scholarship opportunities available through ACCED-I Headquarters
  • Organize and participate in the decision process for regional scholarships
  • Cultivate relationships with vendors and businesses who may be interested in ACCED-I Corporate Membership and sponsorships.
  • Communicate regularly with the other members of the action team

Timeline

This is an elected three-year position with year-round tasks for the team
