CAS Representative Application

ACCED-I is seeking two members to represent ACCED-I to the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS).  As a member of CAS, standards are developed through a consensus model of member associations and other experts, including ACCED-I.  

The mission of the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS) is to promote the improvement of programs and services to enhance the quality of student learning and development.  CAS is a consortium of professional associations who work collaboratively to develop and promulgate standards and guidelines and to encourage self-assessment.

The President of the ACCED-I Board of Directors will appoint the positions during the ACCED-I Board of Directors Meeting on June 18, 2019. 

These positions are open to any Individual or Institutional member in good standing. Applications are due June 7, 2019.  

Primary Representative 
Duties & Qualifications

• Actively represent ACCED-I on the CAS Board
• Must attend three CAS meetings per year (2 online meetings and 1 in person at meeting in November in Washington DC)
• Must have support from his/her institution for time and travel expenses to the November meeting in Washington DC
• Reports CAS activities and progress to ACCED-I Executive Director
CCEP Certification, or current enrollment in the program, is preferred
• 
Term length is three years with reapplication necessary for subsequent terms
• Serve on a committee to create, review, and revise CAS Standards
• Serve on a committee or workgroup to advance the mission and values of CAS

Alternate Representative
